The Austin Artisan Branding

Chef Michael Wards had a successful catering and personal chef business in Austin, TX named SC3. Business was booming, but he knew he needed to do more. You see, Chef Wards isn’t your typical caterer—his culinary events are an experience. He takes great pride in the presentation of his food, and wants to be equally proud of the brand behind it. SC3 wasn’t communicating the right message to the right audience—or any message really. What did SC3 stand for? That’s a good question, and one that many of his clients often wondered. You see, the name meant something to him, but didn’t communicate a message to his audience. Chef Wards was ready to embark upon a complete rebranding with a new name and a new visual identity.

SC3 became The Austin Artisan—a high-end, full-service catering and personal chef company providing upscale culinary services to busy professionals and individuals who value sophistication and elegance. The brand is modern, chic and polished so that prospective clients appreciate the value being provided. The new name communicates both his location—Austin, TX—and his experience by establishing himself as a culinary artisan.

Tara Hoover Design provided the following services: research and strategy for the business name, a new logo, brand manual, business card design, social media profiles, stationery templates and email templates for electronic communication.
